What Is the WonScore?
The Wonderlic WonScore assessment was developed to help companies narrow their candidate pool, predict the top-performing candidates, and screen out unqualified applicants. It utilizes profiles that are tailored to be job-specific to help rank the candidates and provide insights into their strengths and weaknesses. There is a single score that is given to test takers based on their performance on 3 separate assessment tests.
Cognitive Ability – Wonderlic is well known for its cognitive ability assessment test, and it is a commonly utilized and highly respected tool in the hiring process. It has been shown to help increase retention, reduce turnover, reduce the training period, and improve performance. This test is used to measure a candidate’s ability to learn and retain information. It tests problem-solving ability, spatial reasoning, and verbal reasoning. The cognitive ability test is made up of 50 questions and will be timed. You will have 12 minutes to complete as much of the test as possible.
Motivation – To help ensure engagement and retention, an employee needs to be invested in their position. If it is not a job that will hold their interest, you can expect lower performance and high turnover. The motivation assessment identifies job-seekers interests. This is a 30-question survey that measures 7 drivers that encourage motivated employees.
Doer- Do they have confidence in themselves?
Rewards- Do they believe in rewarding performance?
Inspired- Do they believe their work has meaning?
Values- Do their values match the corporate values?
Enjoyment- Do they enjoy what they do?
Relationships- How do they get along with other employees?

Personality Assessment – An important part of the hiring process, possibly the most important part is identifying individuals, who not only have the brains and the motivation to perform well on the job but who will also fit in well. All companies have a corporate culture and finding employees who mesh with it will help promote work-place harmony and ensure loyal employees. This personality test is 105 questions long and is based on the Big 5 personality model.

How to Prepare for the WonScore?
It is in your best interest to prepare as well as you can for the WonScore assessment since job candidates who take this test are ranked on their scores. Do not try to cheat the personality or motivation test. Do remember to be in a professional frame of mind while taking the test because your answers in a professional capacity may differ. When preparing to take the cognitive test review anagrams and synonyms, as well as working on your mathematical skills. This test is timed, but you are not penalized for incorrect answers.
