What Is Ping Identity’s Hiring Process?

Application

Get started on the hiring process by completing an application online. Applications are prioritized by how well they match the job description. This is done through an automated tracking system. Be sure you use keywords from the description, so your application isn’t lost in the pile.

Ping Identity’ Psychometric Tests

To streamline the hiring process, applicants will be asked to take several online assessments. Candidates will need to demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, as well as personality traits that will help them blend with the company culture. To prevent dishonesty the test will be observed through your webcam.

CCAT
The Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test (CCAT) will help determine which applicants have the reasoning abilities that will make them an asset to the company. There are three different cognitive areas that are tested. Along with critical thinking skills, your ability to perform under pressure is being gauged. The CCAT is 50 multiple-choice questions, which you will have 15 minutes to answer. The categories the exam questions fall under are:

  • Math and Logic – These questions will be in the form of algebra, measuring proportions, and word problems. You will need to rely on your mental math skills because you will not be allowed to use a calculator.
  • Spatial Reasoning – You will need to use your abstract thinking skills for these questions. You will need to determine patterns and find the figure that comes next, manipulate shapes to determine a sequence, and identify things that don’t belong.
  • Verbal Skills – Communication is the most vital skill in any workplace. You will be tested on your word usage, vocabulary, and ability to use proper sentence structure.

Personality Test

Even the most qualified person will not be successful if they are not in the right environment. To prevent this, applicants will be given a Myers-Briggs type personality test. This type of personality test helps determine your motivations, personality type, your level of introversion and extroversion, and the way you think through problems. This personality questionnaire will help determine if Ping Identity will be a good fit for you.

Interviews

If your assessment tests standout you will be called for a telephone screening. This is a brief call that will clarify the information on your resume, and give you the chance to ask any questions you might have about the company or the job. Your next interviews may be done over the phone, or through Skype. This interview will focus on technical questions and your skill level. Face to face interviews may be done as a panel interview, or one on one depending on the job you are interviewing for.

How to Prepare for Ping Identity’s Assessments?

To stand out from the other applicants, you will need to get the best scores possible on the pre-employment tests. Taking some time to study, and strengthen your critical thinking skills will give you an advantage. Crosswords, sudoku, and any type of logic puzzle will help you sharpen your problem-solving abilities. You can use apps that were created to improve cognitive function, to help with these skills as well.

Use the time you are given wisely and don’t waste your time on questions you find challenging. Make your best guess and move on to the next question, you will not be penalized for wrong answers.

You should approach the personality test from a professional viewpoint. Some of your answers may change if you take the test from the perspective of an employee. Always be honest in your responses so the questionnaire truly reflects your personality.

Don’t let a lack of planning ruin your chances of employment with a highly rated employer like Ping Identity. Practise the skills you need so you can perform your best when taking the assessments. If you do this you will be able to make your way through the hiring process and all the way to a job offer.
