Application

The NIE application is found online. Before applying, carefully read the application guidelines provided on the jobs portal. You will be required to make an account before filling out the application. Be certain to fill out all fields, even those not relevant to you. Mark any fields in the application that do not apply to you with N/A. Northern Ireland Electricity’s Aptitude Tests

Shortlisted job seekers will be asked to come in and take online aptitude tests. These tests will be used to determine your competency at the skills that are required for the job. They will be given by a third-party assessor and it is necessary to pass these before moving to the next stage of recruitment. Applicants will be shortlisted to move forward based on their test scores. You can expect to be tested on:

  • Spatial Awareness This is a psychometric test given to measure how well you can recognize and manipulate shapes from different angles and views.

 These tests are usually timed and presented in a multiple-choice format.

 

Northern Ireland Electricity’s Assessment Centre

After completing the online assessment tests, applicants will be further shortlisted. Those chosen to proceed will be asked to come in for an assessment centre. During the assessment centre, you will be scored on your ability to do manual tasks related to your desired position. Applicants will be shortlisted one more time based on their scores.

 

Interview
