What Is Hermes’ Hiring Process?
Application
To apply for a position with Hermes, find your desired job title on their website, and fill out the form. You will need to upload your CV as well. This information can all be saved for future applications. You will also need to record a short introductory video. You will need to introduce yourself and explain what intrigues you about the position. You can record a video using your webcam, a tablet, or cellphone, or record with a camera and upload your video.
Hermes Assessments
Before being contacted to set up an interview, you may be directed to take an online psychometric test. This is given to identify the job-seekers with the best chance of success, who will also fit in well with the company vision and culture.
PI Cognitive Assessment (PLI)
Companies need to hire employees who can quickly adapt to a job and retain their training. This is why the PI Cognitive Assessment may be given. This exam will help identify which applicants have the best communication skills, the ability to learn and retain information, and the ability to understand difficult concepts. The exam is made up of 50 multiple-choice questions. You will have 12 minutes to answer as many of these questions as you can. Tests from every applicant for the position will be compared to each other, and an average score determined. The PI Assessment is scored on a scale of 100 to 450. To get a comprehensive overview of each candidate’s capabilities the test questions fall into 1 of 3 categories:
Verbal Reasoning – These questions consist of comparing allegories, using the information in a brief passage to draw conclusions, and identifying synonyms and antonyms.
Numerical Reasoning – Your skill with numbers will be tested using word problems and number sequences that you must complete.
Logical Reasoning – You will need to identify and complete the patterns in various matrices, find the commonalities in different shapes, and manipulate shapes to find the correct pattern.
Interviews
If the recruiters with Hermes are interested in you, they will contact you for a phone screening. During the phone screening, you will learn more about the position and have an opportunity to ask any questions you have. During this call, you may be asked to schedule your face-to-face interview with a hiring manager.
Hermes’ Assessment Centre
Depending on the position you want, you may be invited to an assessment centre. These are usually geared toward work-study and managerial candidates. During the assessment centre, you will complete group exercises. You may be given case studies to present and be asked to participate in role-playing exercises. The assessment centre will end with interviews with management.
