What Is E.ON Hiring Process?

Online Application

To begin the pre-employment recruitment process at E.ON, job seekers can submit their applications through E.ON’s website. Upload for your CV, cover letter, and answer any screening questions. Once submitted, a representative from E.ON will process your application to determine your eligibility.

If you’re cleared to continue forward, you’ll be sent various psychometric assessments to complete.

E.ON’s Psychometric Assessments

E.ON utilizes a variety of aptitude and personality exams to determine your aptitude for the position you’re applying for. Since these are timed, you must be able to move through each question effectively and accurately to get a good score.

  • Verbal Reasoning Test The verbal reasoning test aims to determine how well you can comprehend written information by asking you to answer questions related to a provided body of text.
  • Numerical Reasoning Test This assessment tests your aptitude for numerical and mathematical problems. You’ll be presented with sets of data in charts or graphs and asked to select the correct multiple-choice answer.
  • Situational Judgement Test (SJT) Here, you’re presented with situations you may run into while working at E.ON. Although there aren’t strictly right or wrong answers, your choices and reaction to the situation are evaluated on whether or not it aligns with E.ON’s values.
  • Pre-Employment Personality Assessment

Personal Interview

This is a one-on-one interview with a representative from E.ON. They’re aiming to learn about you as an individual, so it’s a great time to make a personal connection and set yourself apart from others. Make a good impression with concise, well thought out responses. If your interview goes well, you’ll be invited to E.ON’s Assessment Day.

E.ON’s Assessment Day

This is the last step of their hiring process. The day contains multiple activities relating to the role you’ve applied for. The specific exercises will vary, but will likely include several of the following:

  • Case Study This is a made-up scenario that comes with charts and other forms of numerical and written information. Using the data, you’ll need to come up with a solution based on what you’ve analyzed and be able to explain how you came to your conclusion.
  • Role PlayE.ON uses this to determine how you may perform in a scenario you’ll likely encounter on the job, like resolving a customer’s problem. It’s important to remember that you’re being graded on your decisions, so keep E.ON’s company values in mind during this.
  • Group ExerciseYou’ll be placed in a small group with other candidates and work together to find a solution to a presented problem. You must contribute to the group in a collaborative way without trampling over your teammates’ ideas.
  • Presentation – If required, you’ll receive a topic for your presentation several days beforehand to prepare. They’ll evaluate you on your public speaking skills, the quality of your presentation, and how well you answer follow up questions afterwards.

How to Prepare for E.ON Assessment?

To ensure success in your assessments, practise with mock tests. These will help you work in the time constraints and offer tips to get you used to the formatting of the test.

It’s important to spend time using practice test questions to become comfortable with the assessments; many of these are timed and require a certain number of correct answers to move forward. Taking the time to prepare will boost your chances of getting a high score and moving through E.ON’s recruitment process successfully.
