What Is Prevue?
Prevue was founded in 1994 by Kevin Muir who was dissatisfied with the employment tests that were available at the time. Staying ahead of the curve they moved to online testing in 1998, and they have been using the latest behavioural science and technology since they were founded. Prevue has expanded outside Canada to provide human resource tools and assessment tests and currently has offices in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, South America, India, and Indonesia.
What Are Prevue’s Tests?
Prevue provides assessment tests to employers who want to narrow the field of candidates and leave only the best applicants for consideration.
Prevue Abilities Assessment
Prevue has 3 abilities assessment tests that are part of its assessment suite of tests. You will have 18 minutes to complete 94 questions, and the test will end after the time limit has passed.
Prevue Interest Inventory
The interest inventory shows your level of motivation and helps develop a picture of your interests, and if they match the tasks necessary to perform the job. This will help determine if you are a good match for the job, or if you are better suited to a different position. This is an untimed 36 question test.
Prevue Personality Inventory
The personality inventory is matched against a profile that has been created of the best personality type for the position you have applied for. This test combined with the interest inventory helps to determine long-term employee satisfaction and is used as a predictor for job success. This is a 110-question test.

How to Prepare for Prevue’s Tests?
If you are anxious about any Prevue assessment tests you may be taking in the future, preparing yourself for what to expect is the first step in beating your anxiety and acing the tests.
Learn about the company and its employee culture. This will help give you an idea of their ideal employee. Do not try to trick a personality test or try to pick the answer you think they want. Be thoughtful in your answers but keep in mind the way you perform on the job, as this may differ from the way you handle things in private.
You can study for reasoning tests by being familiar with the material you might see on them. Since recognizing patterns is a large part of the test, puzzles, and sudoku, and activities that work the reasoning areas of the brain will help sharpen your logic and reasoning skills.
The Prevue Assessment tests are not intimidating once you know what to expect. Practising and learning as much as you can about the test material will leave you ready to ace the exams and take on a new job.
